shopping is NOT theraputic.  it’s stressful.  and I don’t like it.

They have the turquoise dress.  In my size.  After all.  So I’m all excited,  trying to order it as fast as my little fingers can move.  And,  what,  my credit card is for some uncomprehendingly annoying reason not working.

Motherfucker.

It’s Saturday, meaning the customer service department for the store won’t be open until Monday.  I know it’s just because it’s an international card number and stores just don’t really cope with with international cards well.  I pay the bill,  there is room on the balance.

The $34 shipping pissed me off.  But if someone else buys the dress, someone with a working credit card, that’ll piss me off far far more.  So. Much. More.  I want that dress.  It’s MY dress.

Who says shopping is a stress relief?  Maybe shopping is fun for those that don’t obsess over an item for days,  even though they can’t have it.  Then continue obsessing only to find out that they can.  Oh wait,  no sorry - you can’t.

This is getting ridiculous.  It’s just a dress.  Just a dress.  I should not be so crazy weird about a dress.

Grr.

$34 shipping!  That’s what happens when you live on “Nantucket”

Love your blog, keeps me highly amused :D I know how much it’s possible to get stressed over dress-shopping - I remember being in tears after being outbid by a matter of pennies on the most drop-dead dress on ebay, and the ensuing shopping trips around town to find an identical one were pretty horrific.  It’s very easy to become consumed by the allure of pretty things if you don’t keep your head :D
