a plumbing we will go

This morning, I was going about my very-not-merry way and doing laundry. Laundry is my least favorite activity. I hate, HATE folding. I hate making room in too full dressers and closets for clean clothes. I hate going through toy boxes for stashed dirty socks. I do not like it. Not one bit. But I do it, because, well, I must.

Amidst my Sunday morning of laundry a pipe burst. Seriously. Things like this happen in stupid movies. They do not happen in real life. Water does not flood multiple rooms (one of them being the office) of real people’s houses in two inches of water. It doesn’t manage to fill the very closed dryer full of water from sheer force. It certainly does NOT soak entire linen cabinets creating more laundry. Washing machines don’t explode. They. Just. Don’t.

Oh wait, this shit does happen in real life. MY life.

What a fucking mess.
