1.) I can appreciate the fundamental differences between the Republican and Democratic parties, in fact, I think it’s one of the things that makes America great. But I’m so fucking sick of the bickering. And the blaming. I think our politicians are acting like belligerent children, who not only have done no wrong themselves, but are eager to go tell mommy who did it. I’m sick of hearing who did it, and I want to move on to what we are going to do about it. And how we’re going to stop it from happening again.
2.) I think that there is no better cup of coffee than one made in a french press.
3.) I think that I’m getting used to my hair. While it may not be what I wanted, or even close, it’s really not the worse thing that’s ever happened to me. It is, after all, just hair.
4.) I had a dream about one of my coworkers (who is in her late 50’s) running away to New Zealand with the Ex last night. Or really, early this morning. Then they became sheep farmers and sent me all kinds of cool yarn. I don’t actually know what I think about this.
5.) I think that I might possibly have the best blog readers in the world. I appreciate that you can commiserate about the big things and the superficial things. I kind of want to kiss every single one of you.
6.) I think that although our government lacks personal accountability, so do we as a nation. We live in a place where it’s socially acceptable to blame your childhood for your faults, to blame your weight problem on trans fats, and your kids’ violent tendencies on video games. If we want to demand responsibility of our leaders, then we should demand it of ourselves, too.
7.) I think that I may have recently gone overboard with the yarn shopping. I am currently making a scarf, but just got the yarn for a kids sweater, a sweater for myself, two lace scarves and… something else that I can’t even remember at the moment. My season changing zeal might have been a little preemptive.
8.) I think that I have come by my love of politics honestly. I just got off the phone with my grandmother, whom I must say that I absolutely adore, but this whole financial crisis is freaking her the fuck out. She’s is very conservative, which makes it hard for me to speak to her about it all. I appreciate her verve, but we just don’t agree, and I don’t fancy fighting with her. Or becoming her next prayer request on Sunday. So I listen, and I make the right listening noises. I just got a lecture about staying in touch with my political representatives… this I actually agree with, I think they should hear from me, I’ll just probably not say to them what she wants me to.
9.) I think that my family tradition of making a sick person exactly what they want to eat is a good one. My son came home early from his woodshop class this afternoon and is now laying on the couch eating chicken noodle soup and a Hershey’s chocolate bar. I hope that he feels better and that I don’t catch whatever he’s got.
10.) I think that I might go blonde again.

♥ Aww!
Jack is sick now to, so I made him Tomato soup with a ton of crackers, and Cube Steak, per his request. I agree, they should get what they want food wise.Hope Duncan feels better soon.
Every. Single. Time. I cut my hair off, I go back to blonde a week or 2 later.
I have an appointment tomorrow morning to cut mine all off. :)
I think you nailed it in #6, it is so true. Life is about personal accountability. You need to be held accountable for you actions, and man up when you are the one that fucks up. There is no accountability in business, or even life in general. It is everyone else’s fault, never your own.
Well, I made my bed, I lie in it and suffer the consequences if I crap there. It isn’t because my mommy didn’t love me, it was because I decided to take a dump. Nobody forces you to make a bad decision, only your own warped perception of reality. Heck it’s how we ended up with Iraq and Katrina fiasco’s. Not my fault should me the motto of sooo many people, and sometimes I wish they would just wake the fuck up!
I love you too! Blondes are the best, so I have heard!
XOXOX! :) Always nice to hear your thoughts and support you the best I can through the use of electrons…

I think this is the best post I have read in a long, long time. I feel like you must have spent several hours in my head!
And, I totally agree with you on giving a sick person whatever they want to eat.
