Thursday Thirteen

1.) Blogging has been rather lackluster for me lately. And to cure this? I’m pretty sure I’m going to join nanowhatever and blog everyday during the month of November. There is some logic in signing up to blog everyday when blogging even once a week has become a struggle. Right?

2.) It’s crazy clear outside tonight. I really, really LOVE the fall. I love the leaves, I love the foggy mornings, I love sweaters, I love scarves and boots. I love hot chocolate and spiced wine. I love the squash and carving pumpkins. Mostly though, I love the crisp, clear nights.

3.) I have a date this weekend. This dating business is a weird and foreign world. I don’t speak the fucking language and it leads to confessions of how long it’s been since people have had sex. That alone makes it wildly uncomfortable. However, I’m looking forward to it. He’s a funny, funny guy who’s been keeping me well entertained this last week.

4.) I\’ve been listening to this song an awful lot, it makes me stupidly happy. I don’t know what it is about it, but it’s got something that makes me drive faster and smile while I sing along. I dare you to listen to it and not find yourself happier for it.

5.) What movie did Johnny Depp say, “Are you a Mexican or a Mexican’t?” This line goes through my head often enough for me to need to know what movie I’m quoting when I say it out loud.

6.) Duncan is going to be a vampire mummy for Halloween. I kind of wanted him to be The Bearded Lady and my friends and I were going to get our kids to be part of a traveling freak show and all go Trick-or-Treating together. But alas, he was having none of it.

7) The Best of Craigslist has been making me laugh.

8.) Is anyone else watching Sons of Anarchy?

9.) You know what I don’t love about Fall? That it’s dark when I get up. It’s very hard to get one’s ass out of bed when it’s freezing and dark.

10.) I think that I might turn this into a Thursday TEN. Because shit. One can’t just jump right back into this blogging thing without some warming up.

That is a damn catchy song! Good luck on your date, hope it’s a lot of fun.
Last year I signed up for the Holidalies thingy, and failed miserably. I’ve been doing better about updating at least through the week.

Clear cold crisp fall nights (NO wind, NO FUCKING STREETLIGHTS, PLEASE!!!) are some of my FAVORITE times to go for a LOOOOONG walk.(holding ‘mitteny’ hands is a definite bonus!) The stars twinkling, staring at the sky, pondering the wonder of it all, and our ‘tiny-ness’ in the universe…. BARKING and HOWLING at the moon (no, REALLY, it’s VERY cathartic and VERY primal….) are mandatory! (just imagine you are wearing a deerskin, carrying a big stick…. etc.) ;;; My eyes are watering from the ‘cold’… yeah, it must be ‘the cold’……… === You could go as the bearded……. aww neva mind…. :P === BLOG BABY BLOG!!
