This book was great for it’s very real content.  It was about the Child Migration Scheme that placed thousands of British orphans into children’s homes in Australia.

I liked this book.  I don’t like the romantic aspect (of most novels, not just this one) that makes the characters HATE each other before they LOVE each other.  Too much drama for me. 
But I liked it all the same,  the Daddy/Daughter part of the story line made me cry.
