Mostly I didn’t like this book.  I couldn’t stand the main character until the very end, and I think that was only because I could relate to the ridiculous manipulation and believing that it was best for the kid.  Even then, though, the way that it was written… I didn’t like it.  It was superficial, and not funny, which I think that it was intended to be.

I think that I usually like this author.  Maybe not for her genius, because it’s not, but because it’s easy and fun.  But this one was neither.
