This was the first novel that my son and I read together.  It was so much more than I was expecting.

It was sweet, and funny.  Highly endearing.  Some of it was a bit heavy for my four year old, but it was chosen because it’s about a little girl and a dog.  In the end, it turns out to be about forgiveness and human understanding.  Looking a little bit further into people, and not judging, but accepting.

It was really, really sweet.
