There was a lot of potential in this book.  But the silly plot devices in the cheesy love story over powers the parts that could have been great.

The idea, of a young woman leaving Iran, coming to America.  The American Dream is something that intrigues me.  As well as Persian culture.  With this story line there was a humaninzation of Iran and it’s people… and that’s not shown a whole lot in media.  

There were some good ideas that were not brilliantly executed.  It ended up being cheesy and cliche.
