What’s your favorite book that nobody else has heard of? You know, not Little Women or Huckleberry Finn, not the latest best-seller . . . whether they’ve read them or not, everybody “knows” those books. I’m talking about the best book that, when you tell people that you love it, they go, “Huh? Never heard of it?”
The majority of the people that I know aren’t the same kind of book lover that I am… I get a lot of blank stares when I mention really great books. But, at goodreads, I can usually find at least some people that have read books that I love. However, it doesn’t seem that anyone has read The Catalpa Tree by Denyse Devlin. The authors name resembles one of someone that may write trash novels, but this book is not. At all. I thought it was brilliant, it definitely left me sighing at the end, amazed, just as every good book should.
